If
you haven’t checked out our website lately, we have new pictures of our
dogs as well as info about Westie books for you and the kids!
Miss
Ellie did a fine job in delivering these 5 pups!
Katie, Cordy’s pup, at 7 weeks. She will be ready to go to her new home in Birmingham in a few weeks.
Merry
Christmas from
Chloe’s Kids! They are 6
weeks old. They will go to
their new homes at the end of the month. These
characters are not as
innocent as they look!
Are
these pups cute, or what? |
In This Issue: 1.
What Christmas Means To Me! 2.
Ellie
Is A New Mom!
1.
What Christmas Means To Me! Christmas
means many things to as many different people.
For me, it is “Christ”, His birth, life, death, resurrection,
and one day His coming again. May
your family have a great Christmas as we celebrate Christ’s first coming
and look forward to His second coming!
Merry Christmas! Luke
2 1Today
in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[1
the Lord. 12This will be a
sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a
manger."
2.
Ellie Is A New Mom! Ellie
had five beautiful and healthy pups early in the morning hours of
Thursday, December 11.
I
(Thomas) have spent 6 nights on a pallet beside Ellie as she neared
delivery. I slept with her
for 5 nights expecting her to deliver at any moment.
On
the 6th night, she went into labor about midnight.
By 3 AM she had delivered all 5 pups.
They are strong and are nursing eagerly.
We weighed them at birth and then daily to keep up with their
weight gain. They are all
gaining weight and seem to be perfect.
Anyhow, that’s what the vet said!
And mom, Ellie, is also!
Ellie
closely watches over her new litter.
She is such a good mom. When
we take her out to potty she wants to get back inside ASAP to check on the
babies. The pups are only 40
hours old. Doesn’t Miss
Ellie look refreshed? We
will be in contact with some of you who will be getting one of the pups.
Several of you have had to be bumped down the list because of
temperature and air flight. We
cannot air flight pups to the north or Canada, and several have had to be
patient and wait for warm weather. Others
have chosen to drive long distances or fly and take their pup on board as
“carry on”. We always
enjoy getting to know new families that adopt one of our pups. Tonight
will be the first night that I will not sleep beside Ellie.
We have closed circuit TV and we can watch Ellie and the pups from
our bedroom TV. As I type
this WestieGram, I am also watching Ellie and the pups.
They are spread out all over the Whelping box.
Ellie
is careful to keep their stomachs full.
They nurse a lot!
Ellie
carefully nurses the pups! I
slept with her so long waiting for delivery that it appears she may be
saying, “What are you going to do next Pop…nurse the pups?” If
you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Some
