Cordy had 5 pretty pups on December 4. There are 3 girls and 2 boys. Mom and pups are doing great! Cordy and Sprinkles are Montana's best friends! 12/10/06 As you can see, the pups are little butterballs! Cordy is such a good mom and does a great job taking care of them.

12/25/06 Cordy and her five pups had a Merry Christmas! Everybody enjoyed a great family time and a lot of attention. It wasn't long until all the pups were piled up asleep again. Cordy enjoyed the freedom of being able to be with the family and someone else baby-sit. Montana is a good baby-sitter. 12/25/06 Cordy and her five pups had a Merry Christmas! 12/31/06 Cordy's puppies are growing so fast that it is hard to believe how small (and calm!) they were just a few weeks ago! Little personality traits and differences are just beginning to develop, but they all have one thing in common---they all want our undivided attention! For the most part they still spend the majority of their time nursing and sleeping, but as they continue to grow they will spend more and more time each day playing with each other and also with us. For the next month our household will revolve around puppies and well, puppies! Luckily I have help when it comes to spending time playing with the puppies because Montana spends numerous hours just sitting and holding them when they are about 3-4 weeks old and as they become more playful she will spend hours playing with them so they will be well socialized by the time they are old enough to go to their new homes. Everything is new to them as they curiously explore everything and we spend a great deal of time laughing at how funny they are in their different responses to sounds, toys, and just about anything new. In one of the pictures all of the puppies are facing a wind up musical duck that they are seeing for the first time and the picture does not even begin to show how funny their responses were! For the first time I heard several of them making growling noises at the duck! Of course it will not take long for them to tire of this toy, but for the time being it is amazingly keeping them occupied as long as it is making noise. As you can see from the pictures all of them are thriving and growing very fast. The males weigh the most with Brown baby @ 2 pounds 9 ounces and Blue baby @ 2 pounds 7 ounces. The females are just a little smaller starting with Pink baby @ 2 pounds 4 ounces, Green baby @ 2 pounds 2 ounces, and the smallest being Red baby @ 1 pound 14 ounces. Red baby was the smallest puppy at birth, but has not let that slow her down one bit. This is a big responsibility for Cordy to say the least and I am sure that she will be relieved to find out that I will be introducing them to "real" food this week so that she will be able to take a break. They grow and change so fast at this age that you will probably not even recognize them when you see next weeks pictures!
